New Business Executive

Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Conveyancing Department of an award winning Manchester law firm.

The role of the New Business Adviser presents a chance to become established in what is a leading national organisation.

Working in this position, the right candidate will play an essential role as a member of a busy new business team within this highly reputable Conveyancing Department. Such an opportunity will provide valuable experience as a part of a successful business function, as well as incurring the additions of targeted professional development and the material benefits that this employment position holds. This is a perfect entry level role for someone looking to join a highly regarded practice in the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring all client queries are handled in a timely and professional manner, whilst giving full and accurate information.
First point of contact, dealing with telephone queries from individuals who are not currently clients of the Firm or are new clients.
Providing solutions to the client’s legal requirements, ensuring they are signposted to the most appropriate team or individuals for their individual legal needs.
Guide clients through the process of making an appointment, attending the Firm’s offices and the next steps.
Make the client aware of the benefits of being a client of the Firm.
Maximising fee income for the Conveyancing Department and Firm by converting as many opportunities as possible into new clients / new matters.

The Person

Strong administration and numeracy skills.
Able to work using your own initiative.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets/ deadlines.
Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills. Total Inbound and outbound calls expected is a minimum 50 a day.
Experience of telephone work.
Experience of working in a client care environment.
Good standard of education essential (minimum of three GCSE’s grade C or above to include English and Maths. LPC graduate would be preferable but not essential.
Good IT skills including a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.

Must have a positive attitude.

Training will be provided.

Conveyancing Executive

Job Description

The Conveyancing Executive will join a friendly team and we have a variety of caseloads to manage.

Responsibilities include:

Managing a volume caseload
Sale contract issues
Replying to enquiries
Purchase contract approval and the raising and checking of enquiries
Reporting on mortgage offers and searches
Fee earners will enjoy a great deal of autonomy and we also offer support and development

The ideal candidate will:

Ideally be a Law graduate but not essential (2.1 or above) or Licensed Conveyancer
Have experience working within a volume conveyancing team (essential)
Be ambitious & motivated to achieve personal & professional goals
Able to work as part of a team and independently
Experience in dealing with at least one of the following – freehold and leasehold properties, including sales and purchases from beginning to end
Experience in working with case management systems
Have a willingness to learn and progress
Applicants with strong volume conveyancing experience will only be considered for this opportunity, 2 years experience as a minimum.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Conveyancing Executive to join an award winning Manchester Law firm. There is an excellent salary/opportunity available for the right individual.

The Trainee Conveyancing Executive will join a friendly team and we have a variety of caseloads to manage.

Day to day duties will include on the job training in a classroom style setting for sale contract issues, replies to enquiries, purchase contract approval and the raising and checking of enquiries, reporting on mortgage offers and searches. Trainee Conveyancing Executives will enjoy autonomy and also be offered support and development.

The ideal candidate will:

Ideally be a Law graduate but not essential (2.1 or above).

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join our business as a Client Service Executive, working in an exciting and growing team based in our in Manchester city centre office. The role will be to deliver a positive client experience by supporting our clients across all aspects of their case. This is a great experience for those looking to get their legal career started.

Key Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive telephone manner

Ability to be adaptable, friendly and respectful of the client’s needs and priorities
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Knowledge of the conveyancing process either through previous conveyancing experience (minimum 12 months) or alternatively the LPC

Role & Responsibilities:

Working as part of a team to provide a positive client service
Responding and managing a high volume of telephone enquiries from clients and third parties and being an efficient and effective first point of contact
Dealing with day-to-day requests for information from clients and third parties, such as estate agents and brokers

Hours of work are Monday-Friday between 9:00 – 17:30

Updating third party portals accurately and in a timely manner

Managing a caseload of post completion matters efficiently

Sending correspondence to lenders and clients accurately

Initially my own motivation to join LPL was because I wanted to move over into the property sector and get real practical experience as I loved property law during my degree. When looking at firms in Manchester to apply for a role, LPL stood out to me as I believe it is a very modern forward thinking firm which really helps the clients throughout the process with them being able to observe each step. Since moving to LPL I feel really settled, everybody has been nothing but helpful and I really believe I could go to anybody if my understanding of something was not clear and they would assist me. Additionally, I feel like I have already in such a short space of time been able to progress as I have gone from a new business role into the re-mortgage team, which I am thoroughly enjoying.
